The original production on Broadway featured JAN KIEPURA as Kosciuszko, and Marta Eggerth as his sweetheart Marisha. On Goodman's record we hear voices of Earl Wrightson, Rose Inghram and Mary Martha Briney. Goodman hailed from Ukraine (born 1890).
