John Hospodaryk singing 'My Mountain Kosciuszko'. 'My Mountain Kosciuszko' was written in February 2008 by Ursula Lang. A month later it was composed and recorded by John Hospodaryk in Paradise Studio in Avalon (Sydney). In April 2008 it was performed during 'Mound and Mount Kosciuszko Festival' in Jindabyne and Cooma. Since then it became a part of Kozzie Fests repertoire. John Hospodaryk, a teacher, historian and singer had numerous songs about Kosciuszko and Strzelecki to his credit. He died on 28th March 2012, shortly before the 'Over the Moonbah Festival'.
