Well on one of the rare Saturdays that I am at home, with housework to catch up on, halfway through making Polish rissoles which my husband Tony adores (give him one of my rissoles and I can get him to do anything for me! ): I thought to myself - I wonder if any of our Lajkonik parents took photos at last Sunday's Eurofest? This Northern Suburbs Festival is held each year at French's Forest and is sponsored by Warringah Council. It was the first time Lajkonik performed at this Festival.
Kujawy also performed about an hour before us. It was a lovely day, just a bit windy, and we never expected such a big event, or such a slippery dance floor. Imagine my surprise when I googled "Lajkonik at Eurofest" only to find that someone had posted our whole Goralski performance on You Tube.
Anyway, I already got into trouble from Ernestyna (Puls Polonii editor) for not letting her know that Eurofest was on, and that both Kujawy and Lajkonik were performing. Apparently people at Polish Mass at Kirribilli were asking, and no one knew the details. I promise to let everyone know next year, because we definitely plan to dance in 2012. Luckily, we did find quite a few Poles in the crowd afterwards, and they all said they enjoyed our performance.
So, for those that didn't catch us on the day, here is a U-tube link.
