The Polish Song and Dance Ensemble "Lajkonik" has been performing to both Polish and Australian audiences for 22 years. The Ensemble has attended 7 Polart Festivals in Australia and 5 Rzeszow Festivals in Poland. The Ensemble regularly performs in the ACT, NSW and the Eastern States. It is both participant and organiser of the Kosciuszko Festivals in the Snowy Mountains Region, and a regular performer at the Canberra Multicultural Festival, Melbourne Federation Square Festival, and various other Eurofest style events.
This year, the Ensemble's Founder and Artistic Director Urszula Lang will be presented with the Golden Cross of Merit from the President of Poland. This Award is largely linked to her work in developing the Lajkonik Ensemble as a group of young Australians of Polish Heritage, who love to sing, dance and perform with true respect and passion for the beautiful Polish culture of their parents and grandparents.
Ensemble President is Henryk Snoch, who, together with a vibrant Management Committee, has moved the organisation into Incorporation and a range of new initiatives to further evolve the Ensemble into its next stage of development.

Zespół Piesni i Tanca “Lajkonik” zaprasza na swój występ w Kanberze, na Festiwalu Kwiatow “Floriade” w sobotę, 8 pazdziernika, o godz. 4-tej po południu, na głównej scenie Festiwalowej.
Będzie nam niezmiernie miło, jeśli na widowni będzie dużo Polaków. W programie kolorowe tance i wiosenne śpiewy – w tym tance lubelskie, śląskie i narodowe.
Tańczyć będą: grupa najmłodsza na zmianę z grupą reprezentacyjną.
