Za zgodą Felixa Molskiego (członka Kosciuszko Heritage Inc.) publikujemy jego elektroniczną korespondencję z dyrektorką Fortu Ticonderoga (USA) w sprawie Tadeusza Kościuszki.
Dear Ms Beth Hill.My name is Felix Molski. I live in Sydney, Australia and will be visiting Fort Ticonderoga in July 2012. I have a keen interest in the American War of Independence and also in Thaddeus Kosciuszko (Australia's highest mountain was named after him, even though he never set foot in Australia). In researching the places I want to see on my 2012 journey to the US I have read Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Alex Storozynski's book about Kosciuszko, titled "The Peasant Prince". I have also read your web site about Fort Ticonderoga and noticed that Kosciuszko's significant involvement is not addressed! The book is thoroughly documented so I don't understand how he can be omitted from your history of Fort Ticonderoga! I have attached the relevant excerpt from the book, and included its footnotes. Your website asserts:
The Mission of the Fort Ticonderoga Association is to ensure that present and future generations learn from the struggles, sacrifices and victories that shaped the nations of North America and changed world history.
We serve this mission by:
• Preserving and enhancing our historic structures, collections, gardens and landscapes.
• Educating and inspiring our visitors about the history of Fort Ticonderoga and the diverse peoples who met here in war and peace.
I consider this mission to be admirable, especially noting your acknowledgement of 'diverse peoples' since Kosciuszko was a volunteer from Poland. I believe that one's understanding of the events at Fort Ticonderoga during the American Revolution is incomplete without knowing about the role Kosciuszko's played.
In your welcome message to Fort Ticonderoga you state:
Recent studies, however, show that fewer and fewer people can answer the most basic questions about America’s history. Without that basic knowledge, we are unable to measure the significance of the events happening today that affect our everyday lives. Fort Ticonderoga is America’s Fort and a symbol of our rich heritage.
I agree with you strongly, and I now more deeply don't understand why Kosciuszko's involvement at Fort Ticonderoga is not covered at the Fort nor on your website. Am I missing something?

A oto odpowiedź, jaką F. Molski otrzymał od dyrektorki Fortu Ticonderoga.
Dear Mr. Molski.Thank you for your note and very passionate interest in Thaddeus Kosciuszko. The Fort Ticonderoga web content is in no way complete. Our staff continually adds to the content in order to best share Fort Ticonderoga’s epic story. It is a work in progress. Kosciuszko was not intentionally excluded in our very brief list of key figures. That list will continue to grow and include people such as Kosciuszko to best reflect the many lives that impacted our Fort Ticonderoga story. Again, thank you for your note and interest in Fort Ticonderoga. We look forward to your visit in 2012! Best! Beth
