| Fast moving and intense bushfire fronts destroyed the homes of several Polish families living in the Springwood Blue Mountains region. Maria and Andrew Rosiak suffered a total home loss and total loss of their Nursery Business. The fire approached without any warning and with extreme speed. In under 10 minute their home was engulfed and destroyed. The nursery igloos hot-houses were destroyed in under 30 minutes.
With very low water pressure, no electricity and total congestion in the mobile telephone network, the situation was very grim.
