And yes the wind was gusting at around 60km/hr, while the temperature at Katoomba struggled to go over 12 degrees. With a fully packed van to capacity, Wieslaw Pazdzior from Polononez Smallgoods & Butchery - Chester Hill with Kazik Laszczyk made a second delivery of a fabulous Polish produce to the Rural Fire Brigade. On this occasion, three Polish manufactures combined to provided a large variety of food to the Rural Fire Brigade crews that are fighting the fires in the Upper Blue Mountains. These crews have come from the Blue Mountains, but a large number of them have traveled from interstate including Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania, ACT (Canberra) and South Australia.
Polonez Smallgoods donated five large containers of smallgoods including, parowki, cabanosi, poledwica, kaszanka ...... while two polish bakeries - Olka Polka Bakery and TopSmak, provided fifteen trays of a variety of light & dark rye bread complimented with numerous cakes and sweets straight from their baking ovens. To balance the diet, we also found a complete "wheel" of beautiful cheese !!!
Poprzedni artykuł: Generous donation
This donation was accepted by John Rankins - A/Head Teacher Tourism, Hospitality & Events TAFE Western Sydney Institute on behalf of the Rural Bush Fire Brigade. He quickly opened the boxes and sampled some kaszanka and praised the high quality of all produce that was delivered.
Thank you to TopSmak, Olka Polka Bakery and Polonez Smallgoods for your very generous donation to the Rural Bush Fire Brigade. This assistance is greatly appreciated by the hundreds of fire fighters that are presently working with the large bushfires in the Blue Mountains.
