Starania o wyświetlenie filmu o Generale Nilu przez SBS TV rozpoczęły się 26 lutego 2011 roku. Oto tekst emaila wysłanego przez Pana George Fiedlera w tej sprawie. "Dear Sir. During the War of 1939-45 Poland was occupied by German/Nazi forces.Polish Home Army of 400000 freedom fighters, all volunteers, in partisans
formations were fighting the enemy of our country.
One of our leaders in this combat was general "NIL" ( August Emil Fieldorf). He was an outstanding military commander, decorated many times with
the highest orders and medals for his leadership, courage and organisation skills.
After the War, Poland was occupied by Soviet Union. The communist regime was trying to eliminate the former Polish fighters again the Nazi forces,
knowing that they were the most patriotic, anticommunist and pro Western element. Among thousands Poles send to Gulags camps in Siberia, imprisoned for years or executed was general "NIL".
The story of his fight for independed Poland and his unjust death is told in the Polish film "General NIL".
We , the veterans of the Home Army would like to ask SBS TV to broadcast this film. The three generations of Poles in Australia as well as many other Australians will be informed how hard is a life under the totalitarian political system.
They will appreciate more our life in the Free Country.
