| W ten weekend rozpoczęła się wielka zbiórka eksponatów do Muzeum Historii Polski pod hasłem „Małe Wielkie Historie”. Część ofiarowanych muzealiów trafi na wystawę stałą placówki, a wszystkie inne dary zostaną zabezpieczone z myślą o przyszłych wystawach czasowych. Celem zbiórki jest pozyskanie eksponatów do kolekcji Muzeum Historii Polski. Jej organizatorzy oczekują na różne obiekty o wartościach historycznych, także związane z osobistymi losami darczyńców. Szczególne znaczenie mają przedmioty związane z polską drogą do Niepodległości – zarówno tej w 1918 roku, jak i w roku 1989.
Muzeum zainteresowane jest również przedmiotami codziennego użytku, fotografiami, pocztówkami, dokumentami, listami i pamiętnikami, prasą – a także elementami ubioru, umundurowania, uzbrojenia i wyposażenia wojskowego, zabytkowymi urządzeniami oraz wyrobami rzemieślniczymi i artystycznymi świadczącymi o historii polskiej kultury, przemianach społecznych i gospodarczych.
Pamiątki wejdą w skład tworzącej się kolekcji Muzeum Historii Polski. Część ofiarowanych przedmiotów trafi na wystawę stałą Muzeum, a wszystkie inne dary zostaną należycie zabezpieczone z myślą o badaczach przeszłości i przyszłych wystawach czasowych.

Major collection to be undertaken for artifacts for the Polish History Museum.Under the honorary patronage of President of the Polish Republic Andrzej Duda.
"Little Big Histories" – under this title, the Polish History Museum begins a general social action to collect historical artifacts and memorabilia. The collection will be inaugurated on the Night of Museums on 14 May in several cities in Poland. The collection process will continue in coming months and will be concluded on Independence Day on 11 November.
The aim of the collection process is to receive museum-quality materials for the collection of the Polish History Museum. The organizers anticipate a variety of objects of historical value including those related to personal lives of donors. Special meaning, they emphasize, are placed on objects related to the Polish road to independence, from 1918 as well as 1989. The museum also values objects of daily life, photographs, postcards, documents, letters, various memorabilia and family artifacts, and press, as well as elements of attire, uniforms and military materials and equipment, historical devices and artisinal and artistic works that serve as evidence of the history of Polish culture and social and economic developments.
The artifacts will form part of the collection in progress of the Polish History Museum. Selected items from the donated artifacts will be exhibited in the permanent exhibition of the museum; other donations will be properly conserved for future research and temporary exhibitions.
During the collection process, donators will receive commemorative certificates. The "Little Big Histories" collection will conclude with a special Donors' Day on 11 November, Poland's Independence Day, during which an exhibition made up of donated artifacts will be on display.
The collection "Little Big Histories" will be inaugurated in Kraków (13 to 14 May, at the International Culture Center), in Warsaw (14 to 15 May, the Kordegarda Gallery), in Wrocław (14 to 15 May, the Pan Tadeusz Museum), in Katowice (14 to 15 May, the Silesian Museum), in Łódź (14 to 15 May, Museum of the City of Lodz), in Gdańsk (21 to 22 May, the National Maritime Museum) and in Poznań (21 to 22 May, the Raczyński Library).
