| DESTINATION AUSTRALIA: POST-WW11 ODYSSEYS OF POLISH SOLDIERS.The Ashfield Polish Club and SPK Koła Nr.1 are hosting this Event. Lucyna Artymiuk from POLISH MUSEUM AND ARCHIVES will be our Official Speaker.The exhibition will commence with an Official Opening at 2.30pm on Sunday 15th April and will conclude on Thursday 26th April. The event will be held in the Cocktail Bar area of the Polish Club and entry is free.
The exhibition will focus on the stories of Polish Soldier Migrants who came to Australia after WWII. Between 1947 and 1949, 1500 of these soldiers arrived on 5 special transport ships including RMS STRATHNAVER and SS ASTURIUS.
These are the stories of the Polish Soldier Migrants who had fought on all the European Battlefields during WW11.
