| Today is the one year anniversary of the passing of Sculptor Extraordinaire: Andrzej Pitynski, a great hero of Poland and Liberty. His life story was recorded shortly before his passing.I know 2 hours seems long, but listening to it from Pitynski’s lips was captivating.The thing that I can remember clearly to this day, was his sense of humour. Each time when he spoke when he came across a paradox he would always laugh in the way you hear so often in this autobiography.

One of the highlights of my 2019 travels was spending a day with Pitynski first at his studio, the Johnson Atelier Technical Institute of Sculpture in Mercerville, New Jersey, and then sharing a meal with him at his favourite restaurant (see photo below). Another highlight was later, visiting the Pitynski Museum in his home town at Ulanow.
