it is with great regret and sadness that we have come to inform you that on Sunday, October 20 at 10:20 p.m., after more than a year of battling a serious illness, Ernestyna Skurjat-Kozek, Editor-in-Chief of Puls Polonii and President of the Polish diaspora organization Kosciuszko Heritage Inc. - and for us a beloved and wonderful Ernestyna, passed away.

Ernestyna was a unique figure in the history of the Polish community in Australia, she initiated the movement of Polish involvement in Mount Kosciuszko in the form of the Kosciuszko Festivals in Jindabyne and Cooma and the rapprochement between the Polish community and the Traditional Custodians of Mount Kosciuszko from the Monaro-Ngarigo tribe.

Previously, for 16 years, she ran the Polish section of Radio SBS.
