Jamming on a Mountain High By Maria Tickle
Friday, 16/02/2007
Tomorrow a group of Sydney musicians, The Windjammers, will drag their instruments up to the top of Australia's highest mountain.
There they will pay tribute to a man most Australians know little about but who was an internationally renowned freedom fighter and philanthropist with monuments built in his honour in Poland and the US. And he was a man well ahead of his time since all this took place in the 1700s.
Joining me now to tell all is former SBS Polish Language producer and event co-ordinator Dr Ernestyna Skurjat-Kozek.
