ACCOUNT OF BIELANYFEST 2007
By Lajkonik dancer, Daniel Dulski, 13 years old

Every year we wait for Polish Day at Bielany. On the 10th of March 2007, it was a beautiful day. My friends and I from Lajkonik, were asked to give a performance at Bielany. We arrived at 9 o’clock in the morning, then played and enjoyed every minute we spent together. At 12 noon, mass started, and then after mass, at about 2pm, our performances started. We were very excited.

Our teachers, Mrs. Ula Lang and Mr. Daniel Gadd, worked hard with us during rehearsals in the weeks beforehand, to make our performance the best. We also work very hard to always do our best, and, on this day, people enjoyed watching us dance. We had a big applause. The audience had smiles on their faces. This is what we like!!!

The best dancer on the day was the smallest and newest member in the little group. His name is Tomek Kawa. It was his first dance on stage ever, and he danced the Goralski. He is just 4 years old and did a fantastic job!

After the middle group dance, which is called Dziochy, everyone from Lajkonik went swimming and played dodge ball. It turned out to be a fun and exciting day for everyone. We love going to Bielany and we love dancing!
