Good bye Belanglo Forest...
... Hello Jindabyne & Cooma!

By Alicia Polak.
Lajkonik’s Easter Picnic at Belanglo State Forest...It was Monday, 9th of April, 2007, and Lajkonik was going on a picnic to Belanglo State Forest. Before the picnic, most of our families went to Berrima church.

When everyone arrived at the picnic area, right in the middle of the State Forest, in an area very popular for “Polacy”, the kids kicked around a soccer ball. A fire was needed, so we collected wood and with the help of one of the parents, we started a fire.

This made all the children very hungry – so we all had sausages that were cooked on the fire.

With renewed energy, we played a soccer game which turned into a big match with practically everyone that came becoming involved, including some of the parents. It was lots of fun.

Afterwards, we were called for an Easter hunt to look for yummy chocolate eggs which were hidden in the forest. We munched on these until it was time to go home.

Everyone enjoyed their day at the picnic and we are now looking forward to our next outing which is at Jindabyne and Cooma, at the Mound and Mount Festival this weekend, the 28th and 29th April.
