The Polish Foundation of NSW together with Friends of Bielany invites you to a Spring BBQ.
The Polish Foundation of NSW would like to encourage the Polish community to take advantage of the Government’s APEC Public Holiday on Friday 7 September by joining them for an enjoyable weekend at Bielany followed by a Spring BBQ on Sunday September 9.
Bielany is an integral part of the Polish culture in Sydney, acting as a meeting place for family and friends, a place where friends can be made and a place where the Polish Australian youth can interact with each other.
Friends of Bielany have been working hard to improve Bielany, continuing to provide the Polish community with an inexpensive holiday retreat close to Sydney. All the profits made from the barbeque will aid in the upgrade and up-keep needed on the property.
Bask in the property’s natural charm as the flora begins to blossom and enjoy a dip in the river or simply enjoy watching the kids play on the river bank while sharing laughs with your family and friends.
Bielany sustains Polish culture at their annual Bielany Fest where various clusters from the Polish community like small businesses, not-for-profit organisations such as polish Saturday School and Polish dance ensembles including Kujawy, Syrenka and Lajkonik attend and assist in building a culture-rich day. Bielany also host Polish Scouts throughout the year.
Bielany is opening the season early due to an overwhelming response in bookings for the next eight months. In addition, there are a few important dates where Bielany will be CLOSED to the general public due to a private function. These dates are Thursday September 25 through to Wednesday October 3, this includes the October long weekend.
There will be more fundraising events taking place throughout the later part of this year, updates will be posted on the Puls Polonii website.
Entry to Bielany is $5, kids are free.
