John Hospodaryk has started touring around to promote his new album, "Railway's Coming Through".
John Hospodaryk, Long Trestle Bridge.A song from his new album. Just listen to it.
In 2005 in Tamworth John participated as a performer at the 150th Anniversary celebration of railways in NSW. This inspired him to further explore the history of rail through song. He has written and recorded a collection of songs about Australian rail and the lifestyle around it, and added a couple of traditional pieces. He will present a concert featuring the many aspects of Australian railway life: legendary locomotives like the 38, the lives and struggles of railway workers, spectacular runs like the Ghan and Kuranda, and the impact of the railways on communities.
John will be performing songs from this album at the following venues:
Sult @ The Gaelic, The Gaelic Club Upstairs, 64 Devonshire Street, Surry Hills, NSW, 24th Oct. 2007. 8.30 pm
Townsville Folk and Acoustic Club, Bellevue Hotel, Allen Street, South Townsville, Qld, 1st Nov. 2007. 8 pm
The album will be on sale ($15.00) after each show.
