Polish killing fields?
In reference to the article titled Reinventing Helena by Jane Wheatley (Good Weekend, SMH 11-12 May, 2008) I would like to point out that the author’s “Polish killing field of Babi Yar” is actually a place near the Ukrainian capital city Kiev and Treblinka was a German death camp in Nazi-occupied Poland. The death camp in Treblinka was run by the Germans and the Ukrainian collaborators.
