The Polish Association of Qld is pleased to announce that the 10th annual Polish Spring Festival, was the most successful yet, with the event further strengthening its appreciation of the vast multicultural landscape of Australia through attracting a number of multicultural ethnic groups and performers and a wide range of programs and activities.

With the attendance of many government leaders including: Cr. Melva Hobson, Mayor of Redlands, Mr. Michael Choi, Minister of Multicultural Affairs and community members, in addition to other multicultural groups, the Polish Spring Festival has formed a foundation and common ground for multicultural appreciation and cultural diversity within the community.

The festival was held at SPK (Returned Polish Serviceman’s League) in Capalaba and attracted over 1200 visitors, 80 performers, and 24 cultural stalls. This year’s focus was to bring together a vast program of exciting and unique cultural talents to encourage pride in our multicultural heritage and showcase appreciation of other nation’s talents and abilities.

The festival also aimed to celebrate the achievements of the original Polish Community members who laid the foundation for the Polish Community of Brisbane, and the young children who will continue this legacy into the future.

The festival’s great success can be attributed to the hard work of many members of the Polish Community of Brisbane, in addition to the support of the wider community. We look forward to the continual growth of the Polish Spring Festival.
