Viva Victoria Multicultural Festival
Melbourne 21st of March 2009

Viva Victoria is a truly inclusive and celebratory event featuring music, dance, food, art, craft and design from more than 60 cultures that have enriched our community. Highlights include two stages of outstanding music from around the world, a vibrant marketplace of quality handmade products and an exceptional selection of authentic traditional foods, roving performers, a public art installation piece, a market bazaar on the steps of Federation Square, plus exciting activities for the kids.

But best of all, Viva Victoria gives all Victorians a chance to celebrate Cultural Diversity Week, as well as the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racism (held each year on 21 March) by learning more about other cultures while enjoying a day out on the banks of the Yarra at Fed Square.

For more information and a copy of the Viva Victoria program, visit www.culturaldiversity.vic.gov.au

Viva Victoria has been co-ordinated by Victorian Multicultural Commission and Multicultural Arts Victoria. Viva Victoria will take place on 21 March 2009 between 11am-6pm. It is the main event of Cultural Diversity Week (15-21 March). Viva Victoria has been organised by the Victorian Multicultural Commission, with a fantastic program line-up put together by Multicultural Arts Victoria. Victoria has people from more than 240 countries, speaking more than 280 languages and following more than 120 faiths.
