What's new? We have just heard from our Aboriginal friends that traditional dancers of Monaro will take part in our concerts in Jindabyne and Cooma, and that an artist from Moruya, Cheryl Davison, will have an exhibition of her paintings at the Visitors' Centre, Jindabyne.
And the updated programs goes like this:
Day One, Friday April 17 9am – Thredbo – Harmony Walk to Mt Kosciuszko, with an Aboriginal Guide 1pm – all meet on the mountain and celebrate having Mt Kosciuszko placed on the National Heritage List; sing new songs about Kosciuszko, Strzelecki and Adyna
3pm–midnight – artists’ rehearsals in Memorial Hall, Jindabyne; exhibition mounted, decorations of the Hall being done – you can help, too.
Day Two, Saturday April 18 9am – Jindabyne jogging session in Banjo Paterson Park around Jindabyne Lake, in memory of late Fr Wally Stefanski
9,30 am–– Jindabyne Cinemas: In the Footsteps of Strzelecki TVN film screening, free entry From 11am – Morning tea in Memorial Hall and The Strzelecki Graphic Competition Exhibition viewing Noon – Our special guest Krysta Strzelecki: ‘The Strzeleckis Gathering at the Strzelecki Monument’. Family photo session.
Noon–1:30pm – Memorial Hall, Polish BBQ
1.30pm–4.30pm – Memorial Hall – Official Festival Opening with VIPs, Official Launch of Anthology, Graphic Competition Results ‘The Ozzie Mates of Strzelecki’ and Gala Concert featuring also Traditional Dancers of Monaro
5pm – Hotel Horizons – piano recital by Krzysztof Malek ‘Chopin and Szymanowski for Ozzies’ for local VIPs, media and the community
5 pm – Memorial Hall, screening of documentary “From Geehi to Mt Kosciuszko”
7.30pm – Childrens’ Disco in Jindabyne Sports & Recreation Centre.

Day Three, Sunday April 19 Cooma Centennial Park and Cooma Monaro Arts Centre 8am – Rotary Market Day 9am – Polish music from CD 10am – Mass at St Patrick’s Catholic Church
11am–2pm Gala Concert in Cooma Centennial Park featuring Polish youth from NSW and Victoria, Oz youth from the Cooma-Monaro region, and Traditional Dancers from Monaro
5pm –St Paul’s Parish Hall, Commissioner St., Krzysztof Malek Piano recital ‘Chopin and Szymanowski for Ozzies’
7pm – Drinks and nibbles with the local community, community representatives and media.
