9am – Thredbo – Harmony Walk to Mt. Kosciuszko, with an Aboriginal Guide.
1pm – All meet on the mountain and celebrate having Mt Kosciuszko placed on the National Heritage List; sing new songs about Kosciuszko, Strzelecki and Adyna
3pm to midnight – Jindabyne – Artists’ rehearsals in Memorial Hall; exhibition mounting; decorating the Hall (you can help us, too)
Friday and Saturday
See the paintings of Aboriginal artist Cheryl Davison and the photographic exhibition From Geehi to Mt. Kosciuszko: In the Footsteps of Paul E. Strzelecki by Mariusz Krzyzelewski, both in the Jindabyne Visitors’ Centre foyer.
Day Two, Saturday April 18
9.00am – Jindabyne Cinemas (next to Visitors Centre) In the Footsteps of Strzelecki TVN film screening, free entry.
From 10am – Morning tea in Memorial Hall while viewing The Strzelecki Graphic Competition Exhibition
12 noon – ‘The Strzeleckis Gathering at the Strzelecki Monument’, featuring special guests: Krysta Strzelecki, Gloria Strzelecki & The Oksza Strzeleckis from Poland. Family photo session. Everybody welcome.
12pm to 1:30pm – Memorial Hall – Polish BBQ: Polish sausages, potato pancakes and famous bigos.
1.30pm to 4.30pm – Memorial Hall – Official Festival opening with VIPs; launch of Anthology; Graphic Competition results; and Gala Concert featuring the Traditional Dancers of Monaro and many other artists. Our MC – Mr Dariusz Paczynski.
5pm – Hotel Horizons – ‘Chopin and Szymanowski for Ozzies’ piano recital by Krzysztof Malek for local VIPs, media and the community. Golden coin donations appreciated.
7,30pm – Memorial Hall – screening of the documentary by Oscar Kantor From Geehi to Mt. Kosciuszko. In the footsteps of Paul E. Strzelecki. The movie from TVN may be screened too, on request.
7.30pm – Children’s Disco in Jindabyne Sports & Recreation Centre.
Day Three, Sunday April 19
Cooma Centennial Park 8am – Rotary Market Day 9am – Polish music from CD 10am – Mass at St Patrick’s Catholic Church
10am–4 pm – Gala Concert in Cooma Centennial Park, featuring Polish youth from NSW & Victoria, and Traditional Dancers from Monaro. Our MC – Ms Caroline Fox.
Stalls galore. Polish amber & jewellery, t-shirts, CDs with Kosciuszko & Strzelecki songs. Festival anthology "Achieving together" on sale. Polonez Smallgoods van with plenty of Polish food. Rotary's Beer Garden with several brands of Polish beer.
5pm – St Paul’s Parish Hall, Commissioner Street – Krzysztof Malek Piano Recital Chopin and Szymanowski for Ozzies (tickets distributed by the Snowy Monaro Arts Centre) 7pm – Drinks and nibbles with the local community, community representatives and media.
