| ABC News opublikowało przeproszenie za użycie słów “Polish concentration camp” w reportażu programu Lateline.
17 maja opublikowaliśmy dwa listy czytelników, którzy domagali się wyjaśnienia użycia tego sformułowania w reportażu ‘Alleged Nazi extradited to Germany’ w programie Lateline (link do listów w Pulsie). Autorzy listów, Felix Molski i Eugeniusz Bajkowski, oraz Polonia australijska, dostali teraz odpowiedź na swoje listy.
2 czerwca opublikowano następującą korektę na stronie ABC News:
On May 12 and 13, 2009, the ABC broadcast two stories on the deportation of John Demjanjuk from the US to Germany. The reports stated that Mr Demjanjuk was facing charges relating to the murder of 29,000 people “in a Polish concentration camp” (Lateline) and at a “death camp in Poland” (ABC2 News Breakfast). Although both reports stated that Mr Demjanjuk was a suspected Nazi war criminal, the ABC acknowledges that the stories should have been more precisely worded to say that the crimes were said to have been committed in Nazi concentration camps on occupied Polish soil during World War II.
