The maker of the electronic stun weapon, Taser, is fighting back against a Canadian inquiry into the death of a Polish immigrant nearly two years ago.
The lawyer for Taser says his firm will try to quash the recommendations that emerged from the inquiry.
The Braidwood inquiry found Tasers could be fatal and recommended much tougher rules be adopted if their use was to continue.
Several police forces across Canada have already begun restricting their use.
A lawyer for the Arizona-based company says Taser Int will file a legal challenge, charging that the Braidwood inquiry was biased and neglected to bring forward evidence from the weapon's manufacturer.
