| National Museum "The Panorama of the Battle of Raclawice" in Wroclaw City, Poland announces an International Competition for Kosciuszko Exlibris (Bookplate). The Competition Rules and Registration Form are posted on the Museum website:

The competition is public and open to all participants in Poland and abroad, professional artists as well as amateurs.
The submitted works should contain the term "exlibris", the owner's name, and they should refer to the competitions's topic, for example by referring to Kosciuszko's image, military accents and insurrectionist motifs.
The works should be sent via registered mail by the deadline of 30th June 2010 to the following address: A.I.O Kosciuszko, skr. poczt. -4, 50-984 Wroclaw-27, Poland.
Panorama of the Battle of Raclawice in Wroclaw, an impressive relic of 19th-century mass culture, is one of only few examples of this genre preserved in Europe. The project was conceived as a patriotic manifestation commemorating the 100th anniversary of the victorious Battle of Raclawice, a famous episode of the Kosciuszko Insurrection, a heroic but in the end fallen attempt to defend Polish independence.
