| This year the Society of Christ has celebrated the 50th anniversary of pastoral work in Australia and New Zealand. The main anniversary celebration was held on the 14th November 2009 at Bankstown.
Three priests from the Society of Christ also celebrated 50 years of service to the Polish Community. The three priests are Fr Jozef Kolodziej, Fr Franciszek Feruga and Fr Zbigniew Pajdak. The main celebration for them was held on 23rd May 2009 at Marayong.
They priests were each awarded a medal from the government of the Republic of Poland. The medal is the “Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland”.
Consul General, Mr. Daniel Gromann, in the name of the President of Poland, awarded the medal to Fr Jozef Kolodziej and Fr Zbigniew Pajdak at a function held on the 14th November 2009 at Bankstown, and to Fr Franciszek Feruga at a function held in Marayong on 22 November 2009.
The community warmly congratulates Fr Franciszek Feruga, Fr Jozef Kolodziej and Fr Zbigniew Pajdak on their awards.
The community especially thanks the government of the Republic of Poland for granting the awards to them for their 50 years wonderful service.
