| The Embassy of the Republic of Poland has the sad duty to inform them that due to the tragic deaths of the President of the Republic of Poland, Mr Lech Kaczyński, his wife Mrs Maria Kaczyńska, and members of the Polish delegation to the commemoration marking the 70th anniversary of the Katyń Massacre, the celebration of Poland’s National Day - 3 May - will be postponed to 11 November.
On 11 November Poland normally only celebrates its second National Day – Poland’s Independence Day – which is the anniversary of the restoration of the country’s independence in 1918.
The celebration will be also postponed by the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Sydney.
