| Three months after being dissolved, the Perth PolArt Preparation Committee was reformed in early October, after a request from the Polish Community Council of
Australia, received on 29 September 2010.The Preparation Committee wishes to advise it will carry on with Festival
preparations where it left off in mid July, prior to withdrawing their original proposal and desire to host the 2012 Festival in Perth. The Perth Preparation Committee and final Perth PolArt Committee will report
directly to the Polish Community Council of Australia (Canberra) throughout the course of Festival preparations, and will become a temporary member of the Council
in the lead up to the 2012 Festival.
PPC members wish to thank all organisations and individual community members who expressed their support and helped to act as advocates for the Committee’s
work. In particular, the PPC would like to thank Folkloric Dance Groups leaders, who acted so promptly and decisively to support the 2012 Festival in Perth. PPC members, on behalf of the Perth Polish Community, look forward to hosting all PolArt participants in Perth in 2012.
