| Heavy snowfall is grounding flights and causing traffic chaos across northern Europe. Thirteen people died of exposure in central Europe, including eight in Poland where temperatures dropped as low as minus 26 degrees Celsius. Most were under the influence of alcohol, according to police.
Two people died in England in accidents blamed on the weather, one in a motorcycle crash and the other after falling into a freezing lake.
