Kujawy at the 2009 Eurofest Festival

| On Sunday September 20, 2009, the Kujawy Polish Song and Dance Ensemble performed at the annual Eurofest Festival, which was held at Ararat Reserve in Frenchs Forest. It was a beautiful, sunny day, and the atmosphere was very friendly. The official opening speeches were made by the Consul General of Germany and the Honourable Bronwyn Bishop.

Methane explosion kills 12 miners

| Twelve miners have been killed in a methane explosion at the Wujek-Slask coal mine in southern Poland, a spokeswoman for the country's mines authority said.
